An eternal scholar, Heather Beal best prefers delving into the worlds of fantasy and the supernatural. The “what if” is what fascinates her most. Since retiring from the Navy, she has settled in Seabeck, Washington where power outages in winter are a guarantee. She splits her time between non profit work, writing, spending her time with her husband, raising two children, and taking care of two black cats who think themselves dogs. Still searching for her own super powers, she delights in the imaginary friends that whisper their stories into her ear, hoping their words will one day be read by others.
Heather is passionate about disaster preparedness. She writes children's books about disaster under www.train4safety.com. She also founded and runs a non profit (BLOCKS) which helps prepare children and childcare for disaster. You can learn more here at www.blocksusa.org
